"Creating The Series"

This has been a fun and challenging experience learning new programs and understanding what it takes to create a science fiction series that is hopefully entertaining.

From The Creator

Playing Star Citizen and seeing so many other fun stories created by the community I wanted to throw my hat into the ring.  With only second hand knowledge of filming, editing, sound, and producing, along with no help I knew this would be a challenge.  Not to mention the programs I needed to learn for all of this. I was able to find text to speech programs for some characters voiceover, a family member for one voiceover, and used Fiver for a couple of others.  All I had to do next was write it.  Simple, right?

The series is based on the development of the Star Citizen game from an avatars perspective.  Over the possible seasons the story will cross over alpha issues from error codes to desyncing.  This is not intended as a bash on CIG but just in good fun of the complexity with the making of the game.  After all, if you don't like Star Citizen, don't play.

The main character Virgil is personally and emotionally lost and confused while searching for the reasons why strange things/events are taking place in his verse from ships disappearing to quarterly updates.   I hope everyone enjoys the season and if it gets enough subscribers I will continue with season 2 which will be faster paced and has a  greater continuing storyline along with more live action talks about Star Citizen's developments and quarks.  Thanks for watching and taking the time to visit the website.

Soloman Productions

What is Soloman  Productions?  When it comes to this series it's simple.  As the creator of the story I have been the writer, director, actors, editor, and sound.  With the exception of hiring a few voiceover actors (Gus the bartender,  Constantine Hurston, and Hansen Loe the bounty hunter) all production  was created by myself.  Most voices are either that from within game or text to speech configurations.  Though challenging it was to partly help me learn how to use Adobe Premier and audition.  Kind of a crash course.  Much like many of my ships in the beginning of the game.

Important Characters

Virgil: Portrayed by yours truly, Virgil's character is a vessel for exploring the reasons behind certain game issues in Star Citizen Alpha. We've all been there – an error or server crash can ruin a gaming moment, and it's especially frustrating after a long day. We understand that Star Citizen is in alpha, and we're grateful to be part of its development while enjoying what promises to be the greatest space game ever. Exploring the reasons behind these hiccups in a fun and entertaining way is what we're all about.

Hansen Loe: Played by Kyster, Hansen Loe is a bounty hunter that Virgil encounters. You might remember him from Episode 2 at Grim Hex. Initially sent as a messenger, Hansen's role grew, and you'll be seeing more of him in future storylines.

Trevor 'Gus' Wheatley: Portrayed by Nicholas Topakas, Gus is the bartender at Grim Hex Bar 38. Gus is the perfect character to provide Virgil with the intel and opportunities he needs to complete his quest. As we move forward, Virgil will find himself depending on Gus to navigate many scenarios. Nicholas Topakas was chosen as the voice of Gus because his voice closely resembles that of the original in-game character, and he brought a genuine caring quality to the role.

Constantine Hurston: Played by the online alias Sitarcohen, Constantine Hurston is a well-known character with little show in the game. However, he's the ideal emissary, being a descendant of the Hurston family. Constantine plays a pivotal role in introducing us to the mastermind behind the chaos in the Star Citizen verse.

Sara Bernardini (Saraphine): Sara is played by yours truly, using a text-to-speech for voiceover. Her character was crafted to develop Virgil's backstory, the place he came from, and his connection to his past. Unfortunately, Sara holds a secret of her own. The character's name was inspired by a Professor of Artificial Intelligence, given her persona and background.

Dr. Mary Anning: Dr. Mary Anning, portrayed by an in-game character and voiceover, was created using a text-to-speech program. Although her character is minor, she plays a significant role. As a character of intelligence and skill, she'll make appearances in future stories. Her name pays tribute to a woman who lived in the early 1800s, a self-taught geologist and anatomist whose groundbreaking work went unrecognized until long after her death. Given Virgil's condition and the current in-game technology, we thought it fitting to honor Dr. Mary Anning.

Ruto : Portraying his character traits from in game Ruto is not always quite what he seems. Voice created using text to speech with some considerable effects to bring his voice to life but to mimic the in-game voice as best as can for a deeper emersion experience. Unfortunately Ruto was not functioning anytime during the filming of the Revelations season so I was forced to improvise using a still image imposed over the game footage.

background story

Wondering where Virgil is really from?  He was born on Virgil 1 just years before the Vandul assault on his planet.  He spent much of his time with Sara and collecting rock fragments from a nearby asteroid belt, known as  Gideon's Belt, for his father.  His father was a genetics scientist with a team granted to him.  When the Vanduul attacked his planet Virgil was taken off planet, along with Sara, to an underground bunker to continue the research and strike vengeance on who ever had betrayed them and the entire Virgil system. Future Hopes

I have a fantastic ongoing story to tell, and am hoping that the series resonates with you. I have plans on developing a channel with weekly content in-between seasons providing hard to find discoveries, helpful tricks, and prize giveaways.  I can only emotionally do this with enough subscribers and viewing hours of content.  I need the community's help to make this a reality.  Not to mention, I could use a little help creating the series itself.  It's not easy playing all the characters.

Star Citizen Fan Fiction Understanding

As mentioned throughout the credits on the series and posted on the website on the footer and header of every page, this is a fan fiction creation.  This is not an official Star Citizen website and is not affiliated with Star Citizen, Robert's Space Industries, or Cloud Imperium in any way other than I just enjoy playing the game and thought creating some character content would be fun.

  • Not all scenes are Star Citizen in-game views.  Some views are created from a series of additional add-ins to help carry the storyline.

  • The lore is loosely based on Star Citizen lore filling in blanks where lore content has not been provided at the time of making the series. Though any lore created here is only hearsay, conspiracy, and propaganda since the last full wipe.
